Pakistan seeks Red Corner Notice against Musharraf

Pakistani authorities have sent a formal request to Interpol to issue a Red Corner Notice for former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, currently living outside the country in self-exile. The move was taken so that he can be arrested and brought back to the country to face trial in connection with the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. The Federal Investigation Agency on Wednesday sent the request to the Director of Interpol in Pakistan, official sources said on Thursday.

Suicide bombers armed with guns and grenades stormed a police station in Peshawar city of northwest Pakistan on Friday, killing three policemen, including an officer, and wounding eight more. A powerful car bomb ripped through a bus terminal in northwest Pakistan's Peshawar city on Thursday, killing at least 12 people, including two children. The bomb, containing about 40 kg of TNT explosives, was hidden in a car parked near the gate of the bus terminal, police officials said. The explosion, which was heard from several km away, created a large crater at the site.Other officials said two children were among the dead.
